Awarded Work at the 21th PUCRS Scientific Initiation Meeting

From the 26th to the 30th of October 2020, the 21st Scientific Initiation Meeting (SIC) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) took place, promoted by the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at PUCRS. This year, the SIC was carried out in an online and synchronous way due to the recommendations of the official health agencies and institutional determinations of social isolation aiming at the prevention of COVID-19.

The event represents a space for socializing research activities involving undergraduate students and professors/researchers from different universities and regional and/or Brazilian research institutions. The Scientific Initiation seeks to provide students with the learning of research techniques and methods and stimulate the development of scientific thinking and creativity.

The work entitled “PARALLEL STREAM WITH OPENMP IN IOT APPLICATIONS”, presented by GMAP Scientific Initiation student Renato Barreto Hoffman Filho and supervised by Dr. Dalvan Griebler was considered a highlight in PUCRS SIC.
